Yes, I did about a month ago. Seemed like the least I could do for all I've gotten out of it since early '05.

I've not been around this forum much in the past year or so, so I don't know if I missed something that prompted this or if this is just a random question posed. Good one though, as I'm curious if others have as well.

Yes.
Always around this time of year (after tax refund) I give to an organization that seems overlooked. This was my pick a couple of years ago. Last year was Wikipedia.
I give to Red Cross, Salvation Army, Chicago Food Depository, etc. regularly.

With charities, I like to see that my money is well spent; that the costs of administration are kept reasonably low, and that the "product/service" is valuable, and in some way, shape or form, contributes to the objective of "moving the human race forward a step" (ahem); In the final analysis I prefer to donate "time" (time = $$), as then I can more directly participate in the transaction...since I have contributed ~ 12000 tidbits of folksy wisdom, adorable rambles, and incoherent blather to LMA, on the whole, I figure it's a wash, and if anything, they probably want me to stop giving so freely of my valuable time given the rates keep going up.

;)

[JK; it's a great gift, as it really is one that "repays", eh?]

Most definitely. And I will again. There's no other place quite like it.
Kudos to Brewster.
